Editorial policy
Vibrant Community News aims to make ideas about shared local life clear, fair and useful. We explain the basis of our wording, correct meaningful errors and identify material created in partnership so readers can see what they are reading.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, descriptions and factual statements against suitable material before publication, and take care not to present an example as a universal rule. We use plain language, make uncertainties clear and avoid unsupported claims about what a community needs or how people behave.
Independence
Editorial decisions and article conclusions belong to the publication. A contributor or partner may provide information or propose a subject, but a collaboration does not guarantee favourable coverage or control over unrelated editorial work.
Corrections
When a reader points out a possible error, we review the relevant wording and available information. We correct material errors and clarify passages that could mislead; corrections are identified in the affected material when appropriate. Readers can send details through the Contact page.
Partnerships and illustrations
Material produced with a partner is clearly labelled, and paid or other commercial arrangements are not presented as independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence; where that applies, we label the illustration.
A community grows through participation
Belonging is not one big gesture. It takes shape through small invitations, shared effort and room for different ways to contribute.
